After taking a break from the sport, Stan realized that the thrill and competition of offshore racing was what he longed for. With his businesses doing well and the support of his wife and family, Stan decided to get back into the sport. Stan used money out of his own pocket to purchase his current race boat and equipment. He personally restarted Popeyes Offshore Racing in 2003 and the quest for victory began again. The first year back, Stan continued his winning ways when he and his team took 3rd place in the APBA World Championship at Orange Beach, Alabama.

In 2005, he and his team made the move over to the Offshore Super Series (OSS) Powerboat Racing Association. Stan Ware is on the OSS Board of Directors and holds the elected position as the OSS Cat Lite class representative. Recently he has also been appointed as the Treasurer for OSS. Having achieved a confirmed speed during recent testing that beats the current Kilo World Speed Record, we are poised to gain get another World Record to add to Stan's already impressive collection.
